Spiced Basmati Rice Spiced Basmati Rice
This exotic rice dish was created by Chef Allen Susser, of Chef Allen's Restaurant, in Aventura, Florida. It's perfect for entertaining.
SERVES: 10
PREP TIME: 10 Minutes
COOK TIME: 25 Minutes
Ingredients

2 tablespoons flour
1/2 cup cashews
1/2 teaspoon McCormick Cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon McCormick Black Pepper, Coarse Ground
1/8 teaspoon McCormick Allspice, Ground
1-1/2 cups basmati rice
2-1/4 cups water
1-1/2 teaspoons Sea Salt
1/2 cup raisins
1 ripe mango, peeled, pitted and diced (1 cup)
1/3 cup thinly sliced green onions

Directions
Step 1  Step 1:
Melt butter in medium saucepan on medium heat. Add cashews; cook and stir until golden brown. Remove cashews with slotted spoon. Set aside. Add ground spices to saucepan; cook and stir about 30 seconds or until aromatic
 
Step 2  Step 2:
Stir rice into saucepan. Add water and sea salt; bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 15 minutes. Remove from heat
 
Step 3  :
Stir in cashews, raisins and mango. Cover and let stand 5 minutes. Stir in green onions
